Dan is passionate about counseling young adults and adolescents. Dan’s approach is person centered and solution-focused to meet the unique needs of his clients. This approach incorporates positive principles and practices, which helps clients change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems. Additionally Dan uses cognitive behavioral therapy to help develop and practice positive skills to appropriately respond to the everyday stressors of life. Dan’s specialities include: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, life transitions and depression. Dan aims to create a safe space to provide support and growth for long-term change.
Dan earned his bachelor’s degree in social work from Olivet Nazarene University, and his master’s degree from Western Michigan University. Dan also works as a school social worker for South Haven Public Schools.
