Sarah’s goal is to help others find courage, joy, passion and peace in their lives. She wants all of her clients to feel seen, heard and valued. Sarah believes each person has unique strengths and capabilities that make the world better. Sarah strives to create a respectful, safe and authentic atmosphere and values a holistic, client centered and creative approach to therapy.

Sarah is a licensed social worker who has interest and expertise working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+ & gender fluidity, life transitions, stress, trauma, identity, women’s issues and vicarious trauma/compassion fatigue.

Sarah graduated from Grand Valley State University with her Master’s in Social Work Degree. She has experience working with adoption, foster care, LGBTQIA+ individuals, trauma and sexual abuse.

Sarah “is trained in EMDR and” uses skills drawn from Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths Based and Person-Centered approaches.
